FUNDING

Funding for Percolator Films is provided by the Edelstein/Berkson Family Fund at the Evanston Community Foundation; Evanston Arts Council; Illinois Arts Council, a state agency; MacArthur Fund for Arts and Culture at the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation; Illinois Humanities Council, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Illinois General Assembly; the Mammel Foundation; and many individual donations.

The Reeltime series was previously administered under the umbrella of the Evanston Public Library, but is now solely a program of Percolator Films.

INFO

The current economic climate makes fundraising a great challenge for us.  Although funders have continued to support our programs, grant awards have been reduced due to our funders’ own budget cuts.  Your donation – in any amount – helps us continue programs like the free, community-based Reeltime film and discussion series.  We also welcome donations through matching grant programs that many employers offer.  Donation info >>>

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation – YOUR SUPPORT COUNTS!

ABOUT US

Percolator Films is a new 501c3 non-profit media arts organization that presents and produces independent films that challenge, entertain, intrigue, engage, and inspire –  in short, films that provoke thought and discussion.  We love audience interaction and want to use independent films to bring the community together.

Percolator Films’ activities and programs include:

  1. Bulletthe free monthly Reeltime film and discussion series at the Evanston Public Library

  2. BulletThe Talking Pictures Festival

  3. BulletPercolator Films Presents, our new itinerant film screening program that takes us to different locations throughout the Chicago metro-area

  4. Bulletproduction and fiscal sponsorship of select independent film projects

  5. Bulletconsulting for independent filmmakers, community organizations and institutions

Percolator Films was founded in late 2008 by independent filmmakers Kathy Berger and Ines Sommer, who jointly directed the Reeltime series for many years.
