“Sometimes it takes an old-fashioned percolator to cook up a good idea -- not a drip-grind, drive-thru kind of process, but a slower, more thoughtful genesis. For Kathy Berger and Ines Sommer, co-directors of the Talking Pictures Film Festival, the grounds for their event have been steeping for awhile.”

2010 Talking Pictures Festival News
This year’s festival proved to be an amazing success! More than 1,100 film enthusiasts attended the 3-day event in early May. The 2010 Talking Pictures Festival featured 18 full-length films and five programs of shorts from both local and international filmmakers.
Among the many highlights were Laura Israel’s Windfall, Steve James’ No Crossover: The Trial of Allen Iverson; and Annette Apitz’ Fighting Fish – all new independent films that were accompanied by in-depth discussions with filmmakers, experts and community groups.
With so many incredible films to choose from, the judges had a difficult time selecting the winners. And the awards go to…
